At a glance
- Rithum’s ChatGPT product catalog integration sends your product data directly to ChatGPT, so shoppers see your actual prices and availability rather than scraped guesses. Available in the U.S.
- Rithum’s ChatGPT Ads Feed places your products in ChatGPT’s paid placements, available in the U.S. and EMEA, plus select APAC locales.
- Both run on the catalog you already send to Amazon, Walmart, and Target through Rithum. No separate feed build required.
ChatGPT already answers your customers’ questions about your products. Today it relies largely on crawling your D2C site and marketplace listings unless you provide a feed, which returns whatever price and stock status the crawler happened to find, accurate or not. Rithum’s ChatGPT product feed replaces that with a direct connection to your catalog.
What the ChatGPT product catalog integration does
The integration sends a feed of your product data to ChatGPT so your products surface in organic conversations, the ones where a shopper asks ChatGPT what’s the best winter coat under $200 instead of clicking a sponsored result. Data refreshes every 24 hours. Availability is limited to the U.S.
If the crawler’s last visit was three weeks ago, the price ChatGPT quotes is three weeks old. A direct feed replaces that guesswork with your live catalog, and ChatGPT prioritizes recent, relevant product data when it decides what to recommend.
One Rithum customer’s 38,000-SKU catalog validated at 100%, well above OpenAI’s required threshold.
How the Ads Feed differs from the catalog integration
If you run Google Shopping, you already know the split. The catalog integration handles the organic portion of discovery, and the Ads Feed covers PPC.
The Ads Feed sends product ads to ChatGPT, a paid placement that did not exist for sellers before February 2026. It runs in the U.S. and EMEA, plus select APAC markets. Running both through Rithum keeps one catalog behind your organic listings and your paid campaigns.
Why a direct feed returns more accurate results than scraping
When ChatGPT quotes a price you no longer charge, or recommends something you sold out of last week, 58% of shoppers would blame the brand, not the AI, for wrong content, price or stock info, per Rithum’s survey of 1,046 U.S. and U.K. shoppers.
OpenAI is moving away from standalone Instant Checkout and now routes shoppers to merchant-owned sites and apps by default, with no fee on purchases that start in ChatGPT. Your own site handles the transaction. Your feed decides whether ChatGPT describes your products correctly on the way there. Get it wrong and 16% of shoppers abandon the purchase altogether.
